Growing up surrounded by a wealth of art albums, art nouveau posters, Dad’s watercolors, and a family friend’s gelatin silver photo prints, Olga Monastyrskaya has been fascinated with art since her early childhood in Ukraine. As a kid, this passion translated into hours spent at her desk drawing and painting, among other creative endeavors – such as using kitchen plastic wrap in an effort to turn one of her drawings into a magazine cover, thereby "discovering" the process of lamination.
Olga holds a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design. She has also had several years of classical art training both back in Ukraine and in New York. Her work experience ranges from boutique full-service design agencies to large-scale publishing houses. She has also worked on diverse freelance corporate and artistic projects, devising creative solutions for brand identity systems, informational brochures, websites, and rich media campaigns.
